Palolem Beach : Longest and most beautiful Beach of Goa

One of Goan's most beautiful beaches, although not as peaceful as it used to be (sometimes known as Goan's lost paradise). Palolem Beach is a long beach now completely filled with rooms and cabins and restaurants, sometimes with live music. There is also a market for tourists. Walk along the beach at night with a lantern and you will be surprised by the crabs that flee from you.

Take a walk to Monkey Island ... You will see this island on your right as you enter the beach ... you can walk along the beach and cross some rocks at low tide and reach the island, during the tides of high tide and makes it impossible to cross The island has a network of trails to explore and the more adventurous can cross the rocks on the periphery of the island. Be sure to bring your water bottle and be careful, people have been hurt by walking on these rocks.

More to the right is Butterfly Beach. You will need a boat to get there, but it is worth a trip for a change of scenery. It has a very steep beach, so deep that you can dive from the edge of the water if you program your dive properly. Many water sports activities are done at palolem beach. Check Top water sports activities at Palolem Beach.

Beyond that there is still Honeymoon Beach, a small strip of beach that usually brings you total seclusion. These islands are usually visited by couples who want to get away from the prying eyes of tourists.

The best time for a boat ride to this islands is in the morning at 07:00 or in the afternoon around 17:00 when you can watch the sunset from the boat. You have to negotiate very hard with the boatman to get a good deal, there are quite a few guys with these boats and it would be better to talk with 3-4 guys before reaching an agreement.

Palolem is a small beach town but it takes long walks (take a flashlight / lantern if you walk along the beach at night!). If you are there on a full moon night, it is quite an experience to walk on the beach on a full moon night with the islands clearly visible in the light of the moon, you will find people celebrating late into the night until 2-03: 00 in the morning. Immediately south of Palolem, which becomes more crowded each season, is the beautiful Columbian Bay, where you can stay in a comfortable and ecological resort. Beyond is Patnem beach, which used to be much quieter than Palolem, but has some guest houses and beach huts.

You can take a boat ride on the river that joins the sea on the north side of Palolem beach.

Very quiet and more in the 1960s than in the 21st century (thank God). No Jet Skis, no scammers or resellers, very good locals who make this a unique place in India, one from which the authorities could learn a lot, plus the kind of place where music is composed on the beach.
